Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School offers children (Grades K-3) a fun way to encounter Jesus and the truths of the Gospel through prayer, song and activities during a week long summer camp run by volunteers from the Parish. It is held during a week in July. The day begins at 9:30 am and ends at 12 noon.

At Barnyard Roundup the campers learned that Jesus gathers us together! They realized that they belonged, were understood and valued! At Barnyard Roundup they learned to faithfully teach the saving message of God’s grace and mercy in Jesus Christ!

The fun began as the campers gathered in the Green Pastures of the Bible Stories, Shared Barn Raising Storytelling, Made Udderly Cool Crafts, Ate Bountiful Blessings of Snacks, and Played Bales of Fun Games. Campers of Barnyard Roundup were welcomed by Storytelling, Bible Challenges, Songs and many New Friends! At Barnyard Roundup the campers learned about Jesus our Savior.

During the week of July 11 – 15, 20 children of our Parish attended BARNYARD ROUNDUP. As the campers explored Barnyard Roundup they learned the most important of God’s PLAN: Jesus is the Good Shephard, Jesus Feeds 5,000 People, Jesus Tells about a Sower, Jesus Tells about a Lost Son and Jesus Appears to Mary in the Garden.

From music to snacks and everything in between, each part of Barnyard Roundup focused on the things that matter—connecting kids to God—and eliminating the things that don’t. It was about preparing each child’s heart to receive the Gospel message in an unforgettable way. It enabled kids to share God’s love with others and learn to trust Jesus.

It is with great joy that we acknowledge and give special thanks to the following volunteers ~ Jairo Campo, our music coordinator. Teachers – Megan Adam, Sarah Adam, Haley DeHart, Molly DeHart, and Allison Myers. Student volunteers: Darathy Arputharaj, Dominque Beeck, Cecilia Beiter, Jenifer Haley, Isabella Jalandoni and Erin O’Reilly.

As the week came to an end and the sun set on Barnyard Roundup, the closing celebration provided a time to come together in song, reflection and prayer.

Blessings until next summer….
