St. Honoré Bakery Delivery Ministry

You know how much you love a good pastry…can you believe you can turn your sweet tooth into a ministry? Since 2009, a small group of parishioners has been transporting two shopping carts filled with yesterday’s still yummy pastries - breads, donuts, pies, cookies, and more from Stop n Shop in Watchung to St. Joseph’s Social Center in Elizabeth as a special treat for patrons there. They pick up on Saturdays between 8:30 and 9:00 am and head straight to Elizabeth. The rest of the day is theirs, with visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads (and the satisfaction of putting a smile on someone else’s face).
