These past four years, I have seen our parish rise to the challenge of supporting the appeal, not only by consistently meeting our goal but also by exceeding it, thereby earning a rebate of 50% of what is generated over the goal for the parish. I know we can do this again this year and provide for the needs of our diocesan church and our own.
Our goal for the 2025 Bishop’s Appeal is the same as last year’s, $181,000. I am pleased to tell you that, as of this writing, we have already reached 50% of the goal, $90,131 in pledges, and $65,929 in collected revenue from only 135 of our parish families, or just 3.3% of our registered 4000 households. Imagine what we could do if 20, 50, or even 100 percent of our parishioners participated in the appeal. We could generously help fund vital diocesan ministries and services and earn a substantial rebate to better provide for the needs of our own parish and our schools.
Please consider participating in the Bishop’s Appeal 2025. Every dollar goes to the ministries and services designated. Every gift counts, regardless of the size. I, myself, am a donor to the appeal, tithing some of my income to the appeal as well as to the parish. Please join me in making a sacrificial gift to the Lord in service to our diocesan church through the appeal.
If you have already pledged to the appeal or made your gift, thank you! Your generosity and your prayer will help serve the needs of so many who rely on us to assist them in their needs.
Servus,
Rev. Msgr. Joseph G. Celano
Pastor and Director of Schools
