Jubilee Year 2025

Our Holy Father has selected the theme of “Pilgrims of Hope” for this Jubilee Year with special emphasis on the theological virtue of hope, and us as its ambassadors, for a world so in need of it. I will have more to say about the Jubilee Year and the parish-based events to mark it in the coming weeks and months. However, I have chosen to incorporate the official Jubilee Year prayer into the Eucharistic liturgy as a common prayer we will recite at the conclusion of the Universal Prayer. The prayer can be found in the worship guides used at Mass. We will use this prayer throughout the Jubilee Year as a petition to God that we be renewed in the grace of hope for ourselves and that we become signs of hope for the community in which we live.
