It’s that time of the year when many families begin getting their children ready for the first day of school. Many are blessed to provide for these needs, while many go without basic supplies… and the need now is greater than ever. We kindly ask that you consider assisting those who find a trip to Walmart to purchase items for this purpose a luxury above their means. At each entrance you will see there are white baskets for your donations to be placed. We are requesting new items that include children’s back packs, lunch boxes, socks, underwear (all sizes) school stationery, school supplies and binders. Back to school items for area children in need will be collected beginning the weekend August 9th through September 6th. The donated items will be distributed to local agencies that serve children and families who are experiencing financial hardship. Such agencies include FISH Emergency Food and Clothing Pantry, Somerset County Food Bank Network, Interfaith Hospitality Network and the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program. Please look for the white baskets that will be located at the entrances of the Church for your donations, August 9th through Labor Day. Thank you for your generous support of this annual collection. The joy you will bring to a child who is without even basic supplies simply cannot be measured. Thank you.
