The annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi will take place on Saturday, October 5. Individuals and families with pets or service animals are asked to gather in the church parking lot nearest to the garden. A short service of prayer and blessing will take place in the Rosary Garden at 10:00 am.
The first Saturday of every month beginning at 11:00 am, Immaculate Conception joins surrounding parishes for a Men's Rosary Rally on Division Street in downtown Somerville. The next rally is on Saturday, October 5. Come join men in prayer and penance to make reparation for our nation’s sins against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the glory of Jesus Christ.
In commemoration of Respect Life Month, marked each October, our parish will join in Life Chain for a peaceful, prayerful gathering to give witness to the sacredness of all human life and pray for an end to abortion. Participants may hold signs with a life-affirming message while others stand quietly and pray. Distribution of signs and opening prayer will begin at 1:45 pm in front of the Church.
All are encouraged to join us in prayer for our country. America needs our Blessed Mother’s divine intercession now more than ever. We will gather outside of the church near the flag pole at noon. For more information, contact Fran Opeka through the parish office at [email protected].
