Due to the current COVID situation, our parish will not be having a bus to the Washington March for Life in January. We greatly regret this decision, but our concern for the health and wellbeing of the people who would travel with us mandates this decision. In view of COVID, the Diocese of Metuchen does not encourage going to the March. We have given much thought to the many issues that would be involved with going, such as not being able to social distance on the bus or at the March, not knowing what restrictions may be in place in January for travel outside the State and returning, the indication that the number of cases may be increasing, and the fact that the restaurant in Maryland where we usually stop on the trip home for a meal has temporally suspended operations due to COVID. While we unfortunately are not going to the March, this has not lessened our commitment to Life, and praying and working to bring an end to the evil of abortion. We know that the struggle to defend Life is a spiritual battle, and while we wouldn't be marching we will continue to observe the day of the March as a day of prayer for Life. Further details on how to observe the day will be forthcoming.
